Zymol Carbon or Creame for RB?

There's never been a real big marketing action taken by AF to try and get the brand a bit more definition, other than the 'win 1 of 20 pots of Desire' which I think is a little strange, although most that try have always been fairly pleased. I was hoping to get hold of some of the pre wash that...

Iron x, how do I use it.

not that I know of, it just doesn't dry out as quickly.

Iron x, how do I use it.

the pic of the ironX working is not that bad at all, if the whole car was like that you're over applying to use that much in one detail. Especially on a Mini. I would have though the car would be rinsed after washing / de tarring, so leave it wet and spray it on lightly, let it start to work. if...

Zymol Carbon or Creame for RB?

the titanium was used over HD cleanse, awesome finish but what a pain to use. Took the whole car before I found a way to use it that I was happy with. I really like the AF waxes, well the whole range TBH. I think Passion is the best all round due to cost, ease of use, fair to decent durability...

Zymol Carbon or Creame for RB?

a little step off topic, but have been using titanium lately and although a little spreads a very long way, I've not been massively wowed by it. Yet to see durability but after 2 layers I've noticed beading dropping off, but still evident, after 4weeks and 3washes. sheeting is still very quick...

Gtechniq, do you work for them?

I still have more than enough of the original C4, that was when I still thought it may be a different recipe to C1. Still don't see why they went to a product that has little to no long term water behaviour

    New SRP

I thought it was going to be radiant wax, I missed that then. But totally agree about Tripple, leaves a much nicer finish and considerable easier to use.

Protecting White Wheels from Brake Dust (track day)

I have one more wheel to do and have been thinking of doing a write up on it and get it stickied as this question gets raised so often. problem is it's a rear wheel that's not that grubby to start with C5 does over shadow every other wheel sealant on the market.

Protecting White Wheels from Brake Dust (track day)

worlds apart, I don't really rate any of the paste wheel sealants if I'm honest. so I just stick to a wax like 476 or FK1000 if I'm not going to do it properly. if you want to do it properly, with a product that will resist the high temperatures, will last 12months plus easy and all that is...

Iron x, how do I use it.

it generally depends on how contaminated the car is, if it's really bad then you will use quite a bit. the 2nd time if it has been properly sealed you won't have that much contaimination to remove. How much of a bottle are you using on a single car, and was this the 1st time you'd used it on...

    Clio 128 gt

is there much difference in suspension setup between the GT's and the Dynamiques? I've never looked into them but would hope so. and as for petrol vs diesel in a warm hatch, I have to agree a petrol is far more enjoyable. after 6 years in my 182, and 4 years before that in hot hatch Renaults...

    Clio + Nitromorse = Tears

reading these posts makes me feel better for selling my LY 182 knowing people that work in the bodyshop, I know £250 wouldn't cover mates rates in labour alone, paints, primers and base coats will cost that or more. I had a panel resprayed and rejected it twice from a place that had experience...

Gtechniq, do you work for them?

bit of a bump, but GTechniq have now re-stocked there shelves. C4+ & C5+ is available now, with C1+ available tomorrow / by the end of the week. Prices are also reduced over the originally recipe http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/ I dare say re sellers will have them shortly also

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

as I said, no. it'll add a little extra wetness when starting to clay. Do a search for priming pads before using them, some people give them a initial quick spritz of water others use the product itself

    Trim Dressings.

AF revive is a very good non permanent dressing. on my 182 I saw approx 3months on all trim except the front splitter until I applied another coat. a single little blob would easily cover the splitter as well so less to smudge onto the paint. I always used a foam applicator and folded it in my...

    Trim Dressings.

all if not most should ideally be removed from the paint if you can't keep it on the trim, as they're not meant to be applied to paint and don't do any good, not that they would probably do any harm other than look awful and probably attract more dirt. The majority of dressings require a wipe...

    spring clean of the turbines!

centre caps should match the rest of the wheel, and only colour on the fins / vents. the spray on AG wheel seal doesn't last more than a few weeks. for cheap and cheerful look for FK1000 or do it properly with C5

    "Soft Top Stuff"

renovo do the whole package of seperate cleaner, die conditioner for faded fabric, and the sealer. The die probably wouldn't be needed on the majority of applications and simple cleaning and sealing would generally darken a little. IMO a general APC would probably be ok unless there is some...
