That is a good laptop for the money, laptops with a 1Gb of RAM nowdays are more than that. Not sure about the processor tbh but the speed seems fairly quick really. 80Gb hard drive will be about the highest (you can get slightly more) that you can get. As far as Acers go there good laptops...

Thing is this resizes the picture and doesn't keep the same size. Saving it as a jpeg keeps the dimensions but compresses it (file size).

Yes, open in paint and save as jpeg will do the trick.
