The standard RS should've been what the Trophy is - quick 'box, modest power hike over the previous generation to make up for the loss of .4 litres and NA revviness, generally fairly sporty.
This is what the Trophy should've been.
Ph1 and cup have different gearboxes but they both have speedo drive. Ph1 ratios are much longer than the cup - it's not uncommon to put a cup box in a Ph1 for better acceleration as a result.
Can't get on with the headlights or front bumper.
Rear side grilles remind me of the R5 GT Turbo.
I like it, kinda. I'd like it more if the headlights were ditched, but I'd imagine taking it away from the original Dimma spec would devalue it.
I presume this was done at MOT because it appeared very little braking effort was present/the bias valve wasn't connected and was just tied off?
A lot of garages see either of those, and think that there's something wrong. It isn't. Renault did that deliberately.
They then connect it all up so...
I quite like Race 07. It's not even slightly accurate physics wise, but if you don't try going sideways a lot i.e. race cleanly it kinda takes care of the driving for you, leaving you to nail apex after apex and enjoy the sound and scenery.
Live For Speed is a very good simulator too, and will...
Sometimes you want to run different tyres front to back, to change the under/oversteer balance of the car.
Rainsports aren't quite as grippy as ps3s (IIRC) so the balance will be slightly more tail happy, but I wouldn't say it'd be unmanageable.
