Sorry it may be recommended to take it off for reversing, but its not necessary. Put it this way I've never felt the need to take it off reversing anywhere in 8 years of driving.
I'm unlucky when it comes to that, every car I pick is minty mint! lol I always think hmm should I have bought the first car I looked at lol.
Have done it 3 times, all 3 times the cars been faultless though.
I still say tpft on your own policy is better than being on Mummy and Daddys policy IMO.
Eventually you will build up NCB and things will make much more sense.
