As rich says, i would then polish them with autoglym SRP, and follow it up with 2 coats of autoglym Extra gloss protection

I dont think thats 100% true as if has been given a hard time round left hand bends then the drivers side tyres will be fucked and visa versa

Im not being funny but why did you not check the car over 100% before you bought it ? I am one of the South west local area reps and i know this garage they have had nothing but good feedback from people on hear. One of the local members has been back and had 3 different cars from them.

sounds like you have bought a car you cant afford to maintain, did you not check these things beofre you bought it two days ago ? I always check the condition of the pads/ disks before i buy

I have herd horrible reports about them , if you are going to get them from ebay it must be either oem ones or greenstuff

did you use spot pads or the 6.5 pads ? ssr must have broked down quite quickly today too being nice and warm
