Are you turning the player off completely or just going into standby?? Generally all DVD players I have used and our DVD-RW keeps the playback position when I stop or turn the machine off (standby).

Well I doubt that you have had 2 faulty iphones so the fault must lie with O2 and your account. Put the pressure on O2!!

But DSL isnt anything to do with cable. DSL is over the local telephone network i.e BT PSTN line. Cable is its own network i.e NTL/Virgin

Well it just depends who you go with. BT retail may be able to get you setup quicker. If you go with other providers i.e Sky LLU then you will be waiting around 10 days.
