I made 2 claims (none fault) over 2.5 years as a named driver without any issue's. The latter even went to court lol. Id say being a named driver up untill your 21 is an idea if you dont want to pay out your arse for insurance.

It wont need anymore installation as like you have said you already have Sky + so 2 inputs. I'm not sure about just getting a box on ebay and using that. At least with Sky you get a 12month warranty.
