HID's do give out more light than standard halogen bulbs, although standard halogen bulbs have got much better these days withe the demand for better light they will not surpass xenon technology

Normal halogen bulbs are filled with xenon gas because it makes them burn better and give a slightly better light and maybe life, a actual xenon doesn't have a fillament, a xenon bulb creates a arc of light and the light produced is much brighter and produces many more lumens than a halogen...

Yeah they can but the higher you go the brighter it isnt, i think it starts to loose light at 6000k

Yeah take it to a phone shop in a market or something, they could do it for you no probs and if you get a new phone you could then sell it on for a bit more than if it were damaged etc

if its just a scratch on the phone cover then it can be replaced, but if the actual screen is damaged it might not be repairable, just search on ebay for d500 cover/housing and you will find one
