one that has done lots of short trips will be far more worn (engine wise ) in comparison to one that has been used to cruise up and down the motorway as the engine would have been under far lees stress. and would have been used gently to warm up, short trips meaning the engine does not have a...

miles are not the crucial thing to be honest, eg 60k 172 with a full extensive service history would be far more preferable then a 40k 172 with a service history that was done by a neighbour etc using unipart bits . just as an example. imo any thing from 50k-80k would be ok for a 2000 172

i use nattys blue on my monaco blue 172 in the summer and i have to say possibly the easiet (sp) wax to apply and remove ever. usually apply with a megs or sp applicator pad, leave it to dry/hayze, then buff of with a plush microfibre towel

well i still mix up a bucket with gold class in it and another with clean water aswell and was as normal with the 2 buket method however i have started to spray on rinse with the karcher then spray on again and the wash with the 1 buket method and then rinse. finding that even more effective.
