I know...im sure it would of made sense when I take the old ones off"...from memory though there is a bolt holing the old standard ones on isnt there?? MAybe thats why im getting confused!
Alright im only checking! :o
And one would assume that I should bolt that down first using the nut supplied ..fit into place then use the mounts from the old ones and secure the top...Im not doing it at mine so if I get it wrong its a fair old drive back into town!
Ah wait no I think I get it...
Ah okay...I had a quick play the other day with them out of the box and It seemed like thats how they worked...maybe because no pressure was on the springs at that time.
Im sure il get on okay..now going down to the garage at work to loosen of my top nuts so I dont struggle tomorrow :)
Ah right I get it now...yeah they are wound all the way down already! :)
once they are in place I turn the bottom blue adjuster dont to my desired level??
Obviously if its too high I then turn the top blue adjuster to make it go lower...correcto??
euro-carparts..2 x rear discs for £20 each I think...then 2 bearings at £19. I re-used my old ABS rings but that was just me.
Pressed the bearings in myself too.
But that can be more hassle for some people.
Still dont understand the winding the struts down malarky???
also to adjust them there's 2 rings...im guessing you winf them up from the bottom one yes (once they are in place!)
Yeah I know about reusing the front strut top mount.
Wind the front ones down??
Il look for the guide but ask questions just ot make sure things are going to be done right! :)
Just after some advie really.
am going to be fitting my V-maxx coilies tomorrow and want to make sure il be doing it correctly (tracking etc will be sorted out next week)
Fronts a matter of undoing the strut top nut..undoing the bolts near the wheel and popping the whole strut out from...
Thats how I see it too... I got out of the way of knobs at FCS...although there was a cnut megane driver who overtook me on the right as I was turning into a corner.. t**t.
Dan its not always worth it though...for example £40 for trackday insurance but your excess doubles!
Well mine on Highway does apparently...I didn't bother when I did Rockingham at FCS. (mainly because I forgot!!)
Is the black connector coming from the seat??? Which one is the one coming from the car loom itself? The brown one??
Yes if you connect resistors across the 2 wires running from the car loom this will extinguish the lights for the airbags
Edit...
actually from memory im sure the black...
You need to connect the resistors on the black connector withe the red bit on it.
Connect the resistor across the brown and blue wires on each of those connectors :)
The bugger bent back on itself! :(
still got my hoses to fit at somepoint too!! I'm gonna try and slam it although on the roads I drive on that probably isn't a good idea!! Good to hear about the grip, my eibachs wobble and are sooo crashy it's unbelievable
Very nice Vish :)
Im finally fitting my V-maxx on Friday...providing my strained muscle in my right thunmb has healed by then (bent it back playing footy last night :( )
