well sonic stage is sony's software for external music devices i.e minidisk so i cant see how that would make you have no sound at all. But this f this is the only audio related thing you have deleted then you never know lol ;)

try going to start, prog files, acessories. then i think its called system retore under xp. click restore to a previous point or sommet and have a look on the day you did the uninstalling on the calender and see if there is anything labelled for audio.
