8k... is no mans land for a 197-- buys you a bulk standard car - with maybe a cup pack- or a high miler 8/58 plate try & save a few more quid- up to say 8750-9250 & set your sights on an R27 S

ST mate- MPG is more gash than the 197- I was getting 12 MPG on the Focus- but I did live on BOOST for most of the time-- & I was running mod B on the mapping-( it wasnt the dream science handheld it was the other one) S

Buy the racing blue 5k will easily secure you a full fat one with low owners & low miles- should get one under 50k miles- probalem is theres not many for sale in that spec- infact ZERO at the moment- Check for Cambelt change- due at 5 years irrespective of mileage- so all 182's should have...

Tough one from me- I guess its all down to budget- 200 is a better car by some way- however is it 3k value for money better.... Hum..... S

There 2 ways to look at it- no belts could be a problem- however if you repunt it out at 2.8k - ence no profit in the car some giblet on ebay will bid that- S

If you could squeak it for 2.5/2.6 then maybe- Although I bet the belts arent done If that were me - 2.5k, buy a set of front 182 seats & fit- ~ £300- sell car for 3k Then keep the recaros.. S

grey 2118's & something like V-Max coilovers are a fair set up- Yozza exhaust Job done- sell the gash 18's S

avoid- theres millions available- or offer 2k & get them done again S

I dont always agee with Matt- & i dont agree with his price just because its Cat C- however its got no service history- Lets say at best that the cat C car is worth about £3000 V the same non salvage car on ~ £4750 then the fact of zero service history does account for a furthe price...
