2k for repairs? You would possibly be looking at 3k(at least) plus for fully comp insurance next year after you have a claimed.

If you can afford to get it fixed out of your own pocket without using NCD go for it. If not, expect a big increase in your premium next year. Only insured for 7 months? How old are you?
