The Sigma 10-20mm was over £300 Tamron was about £260 iirc

I love my WA Sigma lens, I'm actually thinking of getting another Sigma one too for portraits and macro shots. I have a Tamron telephoto lens at the moment that I use as my "everyday lens" (18-250mm) it's quite good :)

My bad for suggesting the D40 lol - I have one and it's great :) Canon or Nikon are good to start off with if you plan to expand, get more lenses & accessories etc I'm not sure if you can get as many add-on's for the Sony ones

Nicely, I was thinking of getting the D5000 body so I could use it with the lenses I have for the D40 :)
