I really don't know what it is, but I have seen it before. From the front, so before you can tell if it a 172 or a 182, it just looked wrong. Not sure why, but I could tell.

If the wires are there, maybe someone took the switch out to stop them from being tempted to turn it off LOL

It sounds amazing! Loud, but once the exhaust is fitted it shouldn't be AS obvious. And there is definite improvement in the feel of it. Might be placebo, but it feels more free throughout the revs. Depends on the size of the wheels ;)
