^Me to, I asked to do this in a vee the other week so I could hear the engine and have a look, he just gave me the keys and left me to it, no questions asked!
I've just had a blueflame fitted, have nothing to compare it with, so it's ok for me. As said, it's cheap, and it's just to keep me going for a year or so til I get a vee. Looks and sounds better than the original, that's all I'm worried about!
People shouldn't have to grease their own bonnet catch though. It's fair enough us doing it as we are enthusiasts and look after our cars, but the majority of people with clios don't. My mum never opens the bonnet of her car, probably wouln't even know how to!
I wd40'd mine at the weekend. It looked ok though, the catch on my bf's clio looked terrible, and the bonnet wasn't opening properly. Seems ok now it's had some wd40 on it though.
