Cheers!!
It was a good day. I'm proper sh*t at remembering things though! Scrooge came up to me & goes hello Craig - I was like, alright mate ?
I actually didn't remember who he was though  (I never let on either) Scrooge, sorry mate!!
How many coats do you reckon? will I need a primer or am I goot to go once the boxes are cleaned up? How do I prevent it from getting chippied in the future ?
I was half tempted to box them in or get the MK2 plastic, but it's expensive.
You're not wrong. I love the end result! and actually don't really mind doing it, I don't find it boring at all really. I do get a bit confused with some of the products though, there seem to be loads of new ones out there!
Yep it's nuts mate! I went & did mine a couple of weeks ago, it looked proper sweet (big winter detail etc) & then my dad goes, oh yeah you can do my car, so I did it on Saturday, but I had to order some stuff as I was running low :( the end results were great though!
Mine are black Hammerite too, I wire brushed them down to get all the cack off, then painted them up. I used a brush as the paint was quite thick, I gave them a couple of coats. They have been like it for about five years now & look fine.
I need to get my exhaust boxes painted up again as they look a mess :dapprove: I had them sprayed up with high temp paint about five years ago, but shortly after they were done the paint started to chip off, now they are a lot worse.
What should I go with now ? Is the stone chip sheild spray...
