I still can't believe that Renault are stubborn enough to not admit there's a fault and do something about it! It's a pretty major and dangerous fault after all, whether it's a design defect or not! Who cares what kind of defect it is, it's still a defect and it's putting peoples lives at risk...
I should learn to be more persistant lol! Mind you, the girl I spoke to didn't seem that bothered if I went with them or not, she was just 'sorry, we cant get anywhere near your best quote, thanks for the call, bye!'
Re: Dodgy Mk2 Clio bonnets on Watchdog
Seems typical of Renault, saying it isn't a design defect therefore wont do anything about it, that's all they would say to me to any problems! You think something as dangerous as that they'd do something about it!
Agree with the others, I'd save the money, as you won't get it back when you sell. Just stick to a few subtle mods like lowering, and save the money so you can buy a 182 when you graduate.
Oh and welcome :)
No, I've rang up Chelmsford a couple of times now to ask to book one, and I keep getting through to the same guy, and he is the most unenthusiastic salesman I've ever met!! I'm trying to get through to someone else, as he keeps saying he will call back, but doesn't  If anyone knows of...
I'm trying to book a testdrive at Lookers Chelmsford, but the guy I spoke to was a bit of a t**t, and he hasn't got back to me about it. I don't know if any other dealers have one in that I can drive, southend wouldn't let me! But I think I'll wait about 6 months at least for now.
To do the whole car, I was outside most of the day! Started about 11, stopped for lunch about 2, then was out until it started to get dark! But that was polishing etc, vacuuming, treating the leather etc. She had a good ol' pamper! The engine probably took about an hour, if that, but I didn't...
Not really, but depends what you mean by modifying really. Keep it simple, and don't spend thousands as you'll never get the money back when you sell. A few subtle mods to personalise the car, ie wheels, lowering etc won't be the end of the world, you can easy put that back to standard, or sell...
I got about 50mpg out of mine the other day, I reset the computer and drove around about 30-40mph in 5th gear. I don't usually bother being so good though, I just thought I'd see what I could get it up to! I usually do about 30-33mpg.
