group 16, i got a X reg 2000 with 17500 on the clock, from a used dealer for 9 grand, my insurance is about 1265 with greenlight, 21 years old, 1 years NCD, no points or convictions,
Just got quoted 1265 for MK1 172 for 21 year old, 1 years NCB and no convictions or claims, pretty good dont you think? Better than Directline, 1400 with no mods allowed, scum!
best advice for you mate is prob go get a new 1.2 16v i think you would probably get free insurance off renault for that, tootle about it in that for a year or 2 then get a quicker car. If you do bump it, there will always be second hand parts for it. Thats what i did, drove a 1.2 extreme for...
Silver MK1 172, as the wheels were pretty kerbed when i bought the car, been thinking of refurbishing them and getting painted like a gun metal grey, any thoughts on that?
I have an 2000 172 and a squeaky rattly noise has been coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. Its been getting progessively louder and i can now hear it from inside whilst sitting at junctions/at idle etc, even over the exhaust note! Any thoughts please on what it is, what needs to be...
i chose to get a mk1 over a mk2 cos i preferred the looks and the performance is marginally better, only thing i like about the mk2 are the xenons. They are the dogs, but each to their own i guess

dont matter, im going to renault myself, going to buy standard backbox off them for £109+VAT and am going to fit it myself and then sell the powerflow backbox for the the amount that i paid renault, does that make sense?
it was an indy dealer that fitted the backbox, the same dealer i bought the car from and the same dealer who i have a 3 month warranty with as i only bought the car a month ago
I need some help. Does anyone here work for a Renault dealer in Scotland and is willing to do me a huge favour? Thing is, i got my exhaust fitted under my indy dealers warranty, but they couldnt get a standard renault backbox so they fitted a powerflow one. Now, directline wont insure me...

Im getting a stainless steel back box fitted on monday fitted from saline (beside oakley) on Monday, but starting to get a...
2 weeks after getting my X reg 172, the exhaust snapped between the back box and the centre section, i called them up and the garage explained the exhaust wasnt included in the 3 month warranty that came with the car but he would fix it anyway and put it through the warranty as something that...

I just traded in my 52 plate Clio Dynamique for a X reg 172 at a independant dealer, and i paid the settlement figure off on the Clio (about £1600,) would the indy dealer have paid off the car to RFS(who i had the finance with for the Dynamique) so i would not have to do anything, because i was...
