Hehe.
Parking is a pain.. you dont wanna park near people, park in dodgy places etc.. sometimes I wish I had a 1.1 Fiesta Bonus or something I didnt care about which I can dump anywhere - same with your 172 Id imagine.
I think most people on here with V6s use it as an everyday car? Ok, they...
I had a Powerflow exhaust.
Then I had to make it 3 1/2 inches higher so it fitted through bodykit - they did it.. and also cut original bumper (still on at time) so it was ok.
He has a 16v so probably has 16v dials!
RT/RSi (Phase1/2) have..
Speed Left, Rev Counter Right.
Middle Bottom right is Coolant Temp, Middle Bottom left is Oil Level. Middle Top is Petrol.
As long as your RL isnt a Phase3, then yea.. you can.. straight swap apparently.
Mk1, Phase3 1.2s have a different ignition so they dont work.. but can be converted too.
Your profile says Mk1, Phase1, so it should be a straight swap. Not sure if Oil Level will work, but rev counter should.
RT/RSi dont have middle guages so they have Oil Level on the main cluster.. next to the Coolant Temp. Petrol is at the top where the external temp display is on the Valver.
RSi Phase3 might be like the 16v as they had middle guages.
RT wont have as high speedo or rev range either.. I dont...
I dont see why revving it will do any more significant damage than not.. probably wear better and run better in the long run. .as long as you let it warm up etc..
3 Guages in middle, far left one (Oil Level) will only work on Ignition.. and then go down to 0.
Other two should move about quite a bit.. altho, middle (Oil temp) might take a while to move if engine is cold.
Lots of things to check - I might put a list of things on my...
Williams gets a lot.
People love it.. hehe.. "Is it a real Williams?!"
Dunno if people know what a Williams is, but when people ask.. and I say "Oh, I have a Clio Williams" they look kinda shocked.. maybe the "Williams" bit means a lot more to people who dont really care about cars than we...
I dont care any more.. Im not going to mention the colouring, the style of refurb or anything about the damn wheels ever again.
Easier.. then everyones happy knowing what they know!
:D
But new wheels dont have gold after the rim.. ;) Not visibly anyway.. like refurbed ones.. maybe its further round, I dunno.. but its definetly not visible.
0001 might have been refurbed tho.. and how can you tell if they havent?
If I remember, 0001 has the wrong tyres on some wheels.. not the original ones that it should have.
Only way, is to goto Renault and buy a new alloy.
The sad thing is, when mine get refurbed Ill have gold after the rim.. (incorrect ;)) mainly because I dont wanna spend 1k on wheels when for £250/£300 I can get them done wrong, but then, only people who know about them know they are wrong.
Toad Ai606 with Shock Protection.
Speaking to Has (Clio16vSport), apparently the shock sensor on the Toad is awesome..
Either that, or Clifford Concept 650..
Either of them, but get it installed by a good company.. else theyll be poor.
Northy, yes.. cus Willy 3 style dont exist. They had the same wheels for 1, 2 and 3..
Ive seen BRAND NEW ones from Renault..
Everyone says "I have original alloys" - How can you tell? Low mileage means nothing, ive seen a 20k Williams advertised as "Wheels Refurbed".
Mine are Williams...
Colour, you can get a good match by looking around.. its getting them done correctly which is the problem.
No one (or at least, that Ive found) can diamond cut the rim right round the edge.. which is the main problem.
Very close then..
I dunno if Williams light works different.. I know 16vs pump fuel from reserve tank into main one when light comes on.. Williams doesnt.. it just uses fuel from the reserve tank when needed - Im guessing it works out the same tho.
Dont wanna scare ya, but borrow some money...
Ask the master. ;)
If you go more than 30, then you really are running it fine.
I tried on the way to Scotland (ClioSport Europe Trip 2004!).. I failed. I got about 32/35 I think? Oh, then a mile of kangarooing.. then *BLAAH*. Nothing.
Took 10l of Petrol to get it started again, hehe.
