40kg will make next to bugger all difference. Especially on an already heavier car.
And you have to rofl at more focussed. Why do all the big boys make there focussed models as light as possible? Why does the r26r have softer suspension than an r26? Weight is the enemy of performance/handling...
As they said in the article, the lap times don't tell the whole story....
I've still not driven a 200, but from everything I've read it clearly seems a stepup as an everyday car. But more fun for punting around a b-road? Doubtful.
Get eibach unless you've £4-500 to spend. Even the cheap-shite coilovers need setting up. Whichever direction you go in, be prepared for the ride quality to deteriorate.
The standard setup is good, when the 172 was 1st released Autocar put it in a big group test. Found that in braking, it outperformed the Ferrari 360 and Porsche 996.
Anyone thinking the Hankook is a budget option should have a look here

bearing in mind that the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 is higher up the range than the Exalto.
That or 205's. I'd go for Hankook V12 Evo's. Cheap, and I prefer them to Goodyear F1 and the hallowed Exalto (said to the accompaniment of angel's playing harp's).
Flip side is why tie up thousands in capital, in a depreciating asset? Lets say the list price is £15k ish, which you pay outright. After 2 years, you sell.
Or take the finance route, and invest £14k. Invest widely and you'd probably end up better off.
Camskill are out of stock, and will be for weeks. Ordered 4 from www.blackcircles.co.uk on friday, arrived monday. Similar price to camskill, slightly cheaper iirc for 16 inch.
Oofft, commited! I couldn't live with that spec for day2day use! I think a dished wheel would look very good. I think you could probably make decent cash doing wheel converions like that for 182 owners!
