Yep, he works as a window cleaner by day and mechanic by night. Mental. Not sure why he doesn't go for it and be a mechanic full time tbh. He's just rebuilt my friends 6n2 GTi (for the 3rd time) but it was off the road ages because he just doesn't have the time.

I remember my mum having a 306 XSI in that colour. Loved it, 2litre NA and my mum loved driving it. I also think the keypad immobilizer is cool as fcuk too.
Mountune package and they become a weapon. Look's tidy though (minus the stripes), got a real love for silver cars at the moment. Apparently they handle quite well, to me though they just look too tall for how narrow they appear. Like corsa c's and punto's etc.

Well then that's just the sugar sticking, surely (forgive me if I'm wrong as I've never tried it) remove the keyboard section, bathe in alcohol (don't mean beer or wine!), leave to dry completely, see if keys are unstuck, repeat process if not completely unstuck.
From that list and the previous diagnosis, they managed to get the computer to boot using the disc drive but couldn't get the computer to recognise the HDD but they managed to copy data from the HDD and they said it appeared to be fine. Which would mean that the keyboard does work still, the...
You have to remember that apple tax is added to all those parts. So to get them from elsewhere will probably come in cheaper than that. To be honest it looks like it should be repairable.
