Jack & check FTW mate :) I have a n/s outer CV boot to replace on mine - £13 will be a lot cheaper than a new driveshaft!

The smaller plate on the front is tidy but the lettering will be illegal, even if you have the details on the bottom

Send an Email to someone who sells the pressed plates and ask can they do the front one in the size you need maybe?

You have a Ph1 mate so not 100% sure The wiring for the sensor goes inside the casing of the mirror, I wouldn't like to think it would be dangling under it lol

Sounds more than likely the sensor is gone - cheap & easy fix IIRC just plugs into the inside of the n/s mirror :) Fixed mine anyway When I got the 172 in December it read 19c lol we rarely get that with Irish summer weather!

I have that too (always had on the 172) I heard/read on here somewhere that the selector weeps and is "normal" for the 1*2s :S
