Yeah, remove induction hose completely for better access, then take out the 4 bolts (13mm I think). This makes it easier to get to the throttle electric plug behind. Plus you'll be able to see how to remove it as the clip can be a pain.
Can you not have the centre section modified to incorperate a silencer? if it's loud with the cat on this is all you can do really if you want to keep the rest of it.
I've got the box already, just not sure if it's going on that's all. Battery relocation is next me thinks. Free up a bit of space and help the bay cooling.
The bolts shouldn't be tight at all really :S. Only torqued to 21Nm. You were turning the right way ;)
Yeah that makes sense. I presume you didn't remove any of the vac hoses when you did the leads? or did you completely remove the plenum? Did you change the gaskets if so?
Also, is the coil pack you got new? might also be faulty?
Shame you couldn't remove it. You not have a spanner that fit the fuel rail bolts?
Let me know what you get, i'm still contemplating the v6 box. I'm RR mine on friday to see what the inlets and exhaust made, so will be interested to see how yours fared.
Re: how do people lower their cars 50-60mm when my driveshafts are rubbing with just
It must be something suspension related surely. If everything else is fixed in as it should, there can't be anything else :S
have you worked out whether it is you or the car yet? the only time i've ever felt the clio unstable on the motorway is when speeding a wee bit and having to slam on, that will sort the constipation out :D
How do you mean by unstable? Wobbly?
Re: how do people lower their cars 50-60mm when my driveshafts are rubbing with just
Lol, oh, wasn't looking at the pics properly obviously. :D Dampers haven't gone have they?
if you pre-WD40 the top mounts and the two bolts on the strut at the hub (nice before and in the morning - felt like mine were superglued on), it takes about 30min a corner. It's messing around with spring compressors that is annoying.
lol, only a clio chris mate. so what if you're abusing the trophy. Good on you I say. It might be the "best" clio in the range, but I can still be improved and as it's a track car the only way to do that is rip it all out and start again. :approve:
;) Nope.lol. There is a guy selling them in the for sale section last time I looked. Might have gone though.
It would only be if the car was getting full stripped and some better buckets might emerge, but that's not going to be any time soon. :(
Don't get me wrong, I love, changed the car...
