Just thought i should start a separate thread with pics in, a lot of people interested in this car since a new model i guess. Anyway I'm not 17 yet, my mum's driving it around. Apparently it's been turning a few clio drivers heads at least. Anyway i know its the "Underpowered" model but when...
Looks great mate, given me some ideas for my GT. Although i dunno what parts are offered for the facelift yet. As for the head unit, i work in halfords and i can pick up the one u have for about 130 as its ex display/end of line + staff discount. But, the can-bus adapter costs £100 from us. :(
Yup, was talking to the salesman when getting my clio. We had to buy the showroom model (my mum needed a car asap) and he was saying he didn't opt. for the spare tire, although it is a FREE option. So if you want a proper get-you-home wheel it is available for no extra cost :)
Yeh i seriously am chuffed with it. A lot of people calling it slow. But it's the quickest thing i can get insured on! Been driving the car on private land. So nice to drive. Pulls well even though we haven't taken it over 4000 rpm. I feel real confident driving this thing which is good for a...
To be fair, i REALLY wanted that Zetec S, but i have to share the car with my mum and she hated the DayGlow yellow and checkboard roof :P This ford garage i went too have a reputation for pushy sales though. The Renault garage down the road were much nicer.
Here's it sitting in the showroom, because my mum needs a new car before Wednesday we didnt order one just bought the showroom model. In the end we payed about £12,495 and its RRP for our one (with metalic paint) is £13,895. So a nice discount :)
Yeh i do agree with you there jenic, they kind of did that in some ways. I mean, they took the 1.6 and put it in the Twingo GT and reduced the power slightly. However as i said the Clio is a rival to the Fiesta Zetec S, the Ford is insurance group 8. So at least it beats that :)
There wasnt a GT demonstrator. My mum liked the 1.2 turbo so much she decided to go for the GT. I've never been a fan of french cars or the french people but i do like this. Good looks, half good price and at the moment exclusive.
Haha I've always wanted to drive and cant wait now i have this. It defiantly needs slammin' though. Its wheels are the right colour, just the wrong size and not deep enough in those arches for my liking ;)
Wierdly the only GT badge i could find was on the seats. It's a warm hatch, designed to compete with the Fiesta Zetec S. I really wanted to put 197 wheels on it and lower it. Weird how they are different studs? Hmm. Simular wheels are things like team dynamics pro race 1.2's and i can get them...
Well i was trying so hard to persuade her to get this day-glow yellow Fiesta Zetec S anniversary edition. Mainly because i love Fast Fords and especially Zetec S'. Wasn't to her taste though. Thankfully we both love this car :) and 130bhp out of a 1.6 beats Fords measly 105bhp out of there 1.6...
Okay so I'm sharing this with my mum but she says as soon as I've passed my test i can do what i want with it modifying wise. It's an '09 Clio GT
So the car is picked up Tuesday. I'm Just wondering if anyone can tell me:
Wheel fitment, lowering options, and what the front and rear speaker...
Hey there Cliosport forums :)
I'm 16, (17 in sept) and my mum just bought a 2009 Clio GT that I'm sharing with her when I'm 17. Quite chuffed really :)
