Flat-headed screw driver covered with a soft cloth so you don't damage the paint;
gently prise it open enough to get your fingers underneath and a firm pull towards you.
I didn't even put any copper grease near my carrier/caliper or pads at all this time after being advised it can run/splatter when the brakes are hot.
Haven't had any problems with them so far and the braking is fine - fairly sharp I may add :)
I have used autosol and a bit of fine wire-wool then buffed off with a microfibre;
when you lift the engine cover off you can see it's actually dulled instead of maintaining the shine lol :rolleyes:
Yes the 172 throttle body does make a buzzing noise when you have the ignition on.
But you don't usually hear that from inside the car, even if the bonnet is open :S
Check the AA logo my friend - I was in the house walking a trench into the hall while the car was away lol :p
Will be getting involved more when it goes into the 172 as I'll be competing with it :)
lol @ the Irish screwdriver! :D
My driver's side one was well-stuck on when changing discs last week.
Mate couldnt get it to budge at all so the club hammer + "stand back" worked a treat!
