Phil, you can go upto at least 17"(Dont know about 18"). There is a noticeable difference between 16s & 17s. Ive got 17" OZ supertourismos and lowered 40mm. The handlings much better now but not too harsh. No rubbing at all even with 5 adult passengers!!! Fred has got his lowered 60mm. Def go...
Know anyone who has tried that Fred??? (Only jokin). Looks like I have now got six points partly due to my speedo being incorrect. I thought when it read 90 i was doing 84/85mph. Obviously i wasnt going as fast as usual becasue I gather that when the speedo reads 90 im doin 95/96!!!!
I thought...
Seeing as I have just got done for speeding (92 on the motorway) I wanted to calrify what difference 17inch wheels will make to the reading on the speedo. My clio came with 15inch as standard. I read somewhere that this equates to the speedo reading 0.5 mph faster than the car is actually...
Renault call the lastest clio the ClioII inline with the lagunaII. These are the new models:-Dynamique, authentique, experession etc. However the arches are same size. Im sure someone has said in a previous post that they had rubbing on there 1998-2001 model but am def sure.
Have just got picked it up. Am looking at the fitting instructions and it looks (All diagrams no words as usual) Like you have to drill four holes in the boot????
My local dealer is transporting a double spoiler from another branch for me to have a look at. I have read the previous posts about warping. This might be a stupid question but how is this visible. Whilst im gonna fit it before its painted to check that its not warped is there anyway that I can...
Mine is def MDX M690 as I have still have the box!!! It has the same model No in halfords. I think the m600 does not have the face off but am not sure!!

On the subject of contis, went into my local dealer and they had a new clio in and it Michelins on so maybe the new cars are gonna be on michelins.

Its clios before 1998 that have a torsion bar. Ones after 1998 i.e Mk2 Mk3 versions have springs alround. You either have rear springs or a torsion bar not both.
Only askin cause theres a really good place in Manchester-Car audio centre (Theyve got a branch in Notttingham). Got my minidisc for £300 (£500 in Halfords) and my X-plode CD changer for £160 (£300 in Halfords.). Have used them twice now and both times theyve been really good. All stock is uk...
Ive got a Sony Minidisc MDX M690. It just allows the steering controls to work. You get clock and Temp display as well. I wasnt that bothered about the full display as it was so basic. Well worth the money £50 if I remember right. What Model you going for??
Having mine fitted on Friday, £50 at my local garage, used him before and hes always done top notch job. Should make my Super Ts look mighty fine.
I havent told my insurance company, but Ive kept my old wheels to put on in the event that it needs inspection. Springs can invalidate parts of...
The Eibach should take you 172 slightly lower than mine as the 172s are lower to begin with. Is this the the equilvalant to going for a 60mm drop on mine??
For the second time in 3months the 15amp fuse for the headunit and dash display has fused. I have a Sony Headunit and PC9-500 Adapter. Is this worth a trip to renault or is it likely to be just a conincidence???
The Clio 16v, RSi 8v and Williams do have a torision bar at the rear. The Latest shapes, Phase 2 and 3 have springs alround(This includes both 172s- No torsion bar as you either have one or the other.)
Have got my 4 springs, Ive got Apex 40mm(Got them of Fred), Just waiting to get them fitted!!!
Anyone know the part number for this?? I think it was Geoff who put it on the forum, however I didnt have time to note it before the site went of line. (Its the one on Jas in the gallery)
Cheers. Adam
