Not been aggressive. Where have I been aggressive? I was getting annoyed with the lack of help and people just telling me he had done a s**t job. No please, f**k off back to the "sound system" thread where people can call you a c**t some more.
Quite clearly. Next time try not using an internet phrase to feel victorious. And please, unless you are coming into my thread to be helpful, just stay the f**k out?
Thanks!
I'm not technical enough to know unfortunately pal. I let my ex drive it 1 night (she has never driven in her life) and although we got a nice wheel spin (not what i was expecting) we were greeted with a lot of smoke and it never felt the same to drive since then. Then I went for a blast over...
1.2 16V.
And Martin, I appreciate what you are saying but the clutch HAD GONE, completely. So it needed replacing, I didn't even mention the other thing to him as I just assumed it was because it was on its way out. But people come in here taking every opportunity to slate someone else's work...
there is a thread on here called non sports get in here, or something along those lines. have a look in there are there are tonnes of different styles.
Thats pretty cool. Bit steep for a non sport though? but i suppose you get what you pay for. Thanks for your help. I shall have to wait and see what happens.
Atleast you are doing it properly. Doesn't look too pretty and its going to weigh a tonne. I would seriously look at uprated dampers and springs for the rear atleast to accomodate. That is going the be the worlds slowest none sport. But i bet it will sound great.
Thanks for the sensible reply! A few people need to not bother replying due to knowing nothing. What sort of labour and parts costs am i looking at if this is the case? What other symptoms would there be?
Not really. He replaced the clutch as it went. the struggling bit was still the same before and after. I don't understand why no one can read threads properly on here. Does anyone know a way i can check this?
Is there not 1 under the drivers seat too??? and my car is a previous cat D gally for exactly that, rear wheels went into a kerb in the ice buckled the rear wheel and axel seat airbag went off, no body damage or other structural damage. 05 plate, 21k miles FRSH 1 owner from new, cost me 2k to...
Yeah i would do, but he's on holiday for a month...but i know it's nothing to do with him so i know its going to cost me money, was just looking for any ideas on what it might be so i know what to expect.
How can I check??? There us a knock coming from around the same area under the car when going slow over rough ground. Rekon that's something separate or linked? I've got side to side and up and down play in the gear stick aswell when in gear and accelerating
Was definatley done proper. The guy who works on my car is an ex renault mechanic (not worked there for years and is very good unlike most) He used genuine parts from renault and has definatley done it right because the clutch was perfect when i got it back but this slipping/juddering problem...
Now if i pull away fast it doesn't properly slip... like it doesn't rev and go no where but you can feel it proper struggling to keep hold. it does spin the wheels up though. maybe its the gearbox thats fucked and the cat
thats what i though, but no it definatley feels like its slipping. When i go to set off (mainly on a hill) you can feel it almost juddering and then taking a while to grip again. Someone said release bearing but its definatley been changed along with the rest of the clutch kit in march and...
Hi,
I had my clutch replaced in march due to it slipping slightly at biting point when setting off or on hill starts.
Now the clutch was knackered and did definatley need replacing but this slight slipping was still there. It has now got even worse and when there are a few people in the car...
