I recieved my new policy docs at the weekend from http://www.firstalternative.comFirst Alternative so checked all the details to make sure everything was in order. On the cover page they had my postcode correct but not on the policy docs.
Recently for reasons beyond me my postcode was...
Up to 60 its not a massive difference, from then onwards the FRS will leave you for dead. This was proven on last years Spa/Nurburgring trip. However the chipped LCR then left the FRS for dead!!
Judging by what people have on here, the 182 with Cup packs is more popular than without. You cant really add the Cup suspension packs afterwards. If you intend to mod that side of things you could just get a standard one.
The Cup pack adds anthracite wheels, stiffer dampers, springs...
When I had the 172 I was filling up and the guy in front of me had an older Clio. He came over and said he much how liked my car, asked if it was quick as usual and said hed love one, one day. The 182 draws a lot more looks than the 172 ever did, but thats just because of the more obvious...

and Lee I was insured with them for 800 fc on the 172
They gave me a good quote last year, but not this. Must be my points.
My old 172 used to struggle over a ton, but I never felt it was a good example. The 182 pulls hard to 130mph and is still going well up to 140 indicated on the speedo.
While I was doing quotes I found one site which had a massive list of mods you could pick from even including engine swaps. If only I could remember who the hell it was.
Ive just sorted my insurance out. LV arent so mod friendly anymore:
We cannot insure:
* Motor cycles, vans, pick ups, minibuses.
* Cars which have not been manufactured for the UK market e.g. Japanese imports.

Just been offered £10k from a Renault dealer for it :)
Thought so, seeing as I would have got around £10.5k if I was buying another 182 from them.
My 172 didnt have the exhaust issue, but did have the knocking suspension strut tops. Any main dealer will sort that out though.
The exhaust on my 182 is another matter though. :@
The Mk2 172 is Monaco Blue. Odessey Blue was on the Mk1 172.

I had a courtesy call from them the other day. I told them I wasnt 100% happy as they failed to carry out all the work I requested.
Nice one Neal thanks.
I had mine done last week at Renault Birmingham. Have another word with them as thats not what they charged me. I paid £181 without the air filter being done. With it they quoted me £190 something. That was with the air con thing being done.
