I have one on my car, but some later vee's have the ph1 boot :S I think they just used what was lying around.

I love the way that the seller has taken pics of it in the dark, we can still appreciate the crapness of it though !

Cheers fella, I think it's ace. I think it has the Bettle RS front on it etc. That site has the white cabby one on there too, lots of money spent on it & running silly power iirc. Done like that they look ace, in standard form they look toss imo.

It should be the responsiblity of the purchaser to HPI it yeah, but tbh if your buying from a trader you would (well I would) have expected them to have done it already. Now the seller knows he's got a recorded car, so unless he already knew it & paid rock bottom for it, he won't make much on...

If the car has fsh & lots of bills etc it should in theory be fine. As well as the car, try to get a feel for the seller too, if the dude looks like he thrashes it hard everywhere - walk away. If he opens it up hard from cold just to impress you, walk away. At the end of the day, as Brian says...

Most mk2 vee's for 13k will need their cambelts doing etc. Ones for a touch more will probably have had it done. Yep, agreed.

Yeah I think it's an ex-press demo car, as I have a load of mags with x reg cars in. The number is higher than mine, mines an 02 reg though.
