Got a few more parts arrived ready to be put on when the gearbox is back in, got a new center section of the revised scorpion RS192 system as mine was cracked and blowing like mad! Cant fault scorpions service, i sent them an email on monday explaining the situation and the new pipe was here on...
Cheers, yeah got it out ok, had a nightmare with billingham transmissions though, they had it for 3 days and still hadnt stripped it so i took it back off them and it got sent up to griper yesterday so they can just to the full lot, not looking forward to getting it back in haha! Yeah it...
I bought mine from ren-parts out of a 197 they were breaking, its hard to find a decent set because the bolsters wear so easy on them, you can buy mine for £1100 collected if you want ;)
Well not much to update recently as the cars off the road with gearbox issues, think its the diff so im going to be buying one of grippers new LSD which are supposedly quiet and should last over 50,000 miles on a road car without needing a rebuild accoriding to the man on the phone!
Took...
Well they were £120 a set so £240 for 4! Ill sell you them for £160 posted for all 4, however the bad point is one of the threads is stripped so one wheel will only be held on with 4 bolts instead of 5, you can always helicoil it however i never botherd,
no spigot rings are needed its direct...
Ive got some propper H&R bolt to hub adaptors, they were expensive as f*ck i know that! Haha had twists on my mk3, test fitted some d-90's they sit nice, there 25mn the ones i have, not using them on my 182 though if you want to buy them ? ;)
Soo taking my gearbox out last night and noticed this spring on the bottom of the gearbox, looks like its been wearing away on something and snapped,
whats it for, do i need a new one ?
Well it wasnt the driveshaft, took the blx out last night and sent it away to be stripped down, pretty posetive its the diff now, anyone heard anything on these new gripper diffs where the plates are submerged in oil so they dont need to be rebuilt as often, guy at gripper said it should last...
Basically i started to notice a slight knock on slow full lock turns and thought it was a cv joint in its way out, this then started to get worse quite quickly whith it knocking on long sweeping corners and i also noticed the car steering by its self half way round corners which was scary, this...
Thats what i was thinking, i know its a common problem that when the dogbone mount is worn it hits the arb, but i wasnt sure if thats something renault had changed on the 182 to try and overcome it,
i also went on a rather long drive to meet Coops Turbo to buy his pure motorsport solid top...
Well today we never had much to do in college so managed to persuade the tutor to let me bring my car in, i fitted the polybushed dogbone mount, the new bottom arms, and the battery cover
can anyone tell if that dent is supposed to be in the manifold where it goes over the arb ?
Cheers
Cheers, i never did it mate, Austin-182 does it and i bought it all off him, hees on ebay aswell but your best off sending him a pm on here and hd can probably sort you out! Hees a couple of posts up ^^^
Yeah cheers mate it was good to meet you, although everytime i look at my car it makes me want turinis now haha!
The alacantara bits look mint! Well pleased with them, some pics,
Best to use a new mani-cat gasket aswell as they are like a taperd woven piece of metal that get crushed to fit, if you reuse the old one its likely to blow unless you cover ot in exhaust cement and leave it to dry before starting the car,
Yeah thats what i mean, just put the flap up! Lmfao the new HU has an aux in the front of it so just use that as the standard one wont work, and no i dont think its free fitting
