if youre planning to put the zorst back on once its insured as standard your lining yourself up for sh*t mate. If its stolen/crashed your ins company could use the zorst as a reason to void your policy! Dont think its worth the risk IMHO.
you need to become a member mate, fiver a year then get 2 stars and the ability to post pics up! ;) So mechanic bloke is checking car over for your dad to declare it mod-free so he can give you go ahead to insure it-right?
even the scorpion back-box is a mod mate, so to satisfy insurance that zorst is standard it would all have to be put back to standard, not sure on cost but you should be able to get hold of one not too pricey. You thinking of swapping back to scorpion after insurance bloke has been??
the mechanic will notice yeah, but this will only affect your insurance if you crash or the car is stolen and an insurance assessor is sent to evaluate the car. The mechanic will only note the zorst if the car has any warranty work done.
just done hypothetical online quotes with Admiral, some strange results!!
First car a 2001 172 with standard immob etc no mods, vale £6k, 2 yrs NCB comes out at £1307 odd
Second car a 2004 182 all standard again, value £12k 2 yrs NCB comes out just under £1200!!!!
I mean WTF???

i dont mean on the rear lights i meant water may be getting in around the lights, seeping into the bootwell. Just check how the lights sit, check for gaps between lights and bodywork. Check all seals and if necessary use silicone to repair them.
get to a scrappy and buy some more seals mate cheapest way! Or you could order new seals from Reno but will obviously cost more! The leak into the boot is (probably) water getting in around the rear lights, check this area first and maybe some silicone would be useful too?

*cough* V6 *cough* ;) Whilst the Lotus arent exactly common, u do see plenty of them bobbing about town, whereas the V6 is far far rarer and if i was spending that kinda cash id definitely want something that stands out from the crowd! All IMO tho ofcourse mate!
not sure really... as Dan says it can be done but theres two options really. Either itll be a matter of changing the dash bulbs to coloured ones, or if the dials themselves are actually coloured orange then youll probably have to change the dials to get the colour you want.
