Renault use special tools to lock the pins in place, there expenisve, so not all garages purchase them and user their own variants which aren't so good.

As for trying weird and wonderful mods, after seeing the the amount of cash crazy clio spunked on his motor for it to look w**k I'd rather keep my car looking standard.

I'm sure if there's sockets already then the connection fee won't be as much as £125.
When we had it put into the student flat it was £125 but that was including a couple of sockets.
