Re: My Budget Track Project. (GTI-6 Ph1)
I was gonna buy this when it was for sale but wanted it a fair bit cheaper to pay for belts changing etc - sounds like it may have been a blessing in disguise having my offer turned down.
Hope you get it sorted.
I tend to only go on my own personal experience and it's been excellent.
Im not gonna spend my time defending him but he's been in business a good few years so can't be that bad.
It was a second hand pump and mount which helped keep the price down. He does a cheap cam package if you fancy eeeking out a few more horses from the vts...
Got the car back today after spending a couple of days at Ricky p's in Barnsley. I know some folk on here have given mixed reports regarding Ricky but he's always been ok with me.
Anyway, he diagnosed the cutting out issue as the fuel pump so swapped that for me, also swapped one of the engine...
I suppose it depends what he does with it. If he keeps it and runs it for five years then it's no worse then going and buying a brand new corsa vxr or cliosport etc. if he sells it after 5 minutes (as I probably would) then it's not the best idea.
