At the end of the day mate it's up to you if you make him an offer on it, don't let him push you into buying it.
If you want it go for it, just don't buy it & if something does go wrong regret shelling out for it.
If the dude seems too pushy i'd leave it, as he'll sound desperate to get rid...
I wouldn't bother with the boxster s tbh, they are nothnig that special (imo) i've been in one plenty of times.
Have a search on google etc, as those places seem really expensive.
^
the geezers just trying to rattle you into paying more for it than its worth, no way would any one offer money for it, without even seeing it !! Wait till the 'supposed other person' does, I bet they change their mind on their offer.
If it was me i'd leave it & hold out for another one. I...
Not true, my mate came out to his old fiesta once to find some granny & her grandson sitting in it !! She thought it was her own car - she unlocked it & got in, but it wouldn't start ! His key never worked on hers though.
From what he's posted up it doesn't sound like there are too many problems with it. Most of the stuff is just niggley bits, once its had the belt done etc it ought to be fine.
Get it hpi'd & all that, when you get it don't drive it around - get it booked into a garage straight away for the cambelt as you can never be too careful. I'd try for £1300, if not then offer more.
Yeah a regulator is a motor.
If it's fine apart from the niggly bits you listed it may be worth considering (get it hpi'd before you buy it, if you do go to buy it) I personally wouldn't pay more than £1500 for it tbh, maybe even try for £1300.
I think he's having a laugh - you can buy a straight mk2 for less than 17.5k He's got no chance.
From seeing those pics it looks proper mashed up. No way i'd touch a cat d car at all. The bonnet also looks shite too.
That random dude with the burgundy fiat coupe 20vt seemed to be an idiot by the way he was driving, although when he clocked my car he was all happy.
When I got speaking to him he was actually fine:) he just drove like a loon.
No pics of my beast though :( ;)
Lol yeah mate, nice & original & all that;) Although from being taken for a spin in a mk2 today i'm feeling the need for one of them instead now :) some one lend me 3 grand lol !
Sexy vee that one - love the way that the reg is blanked in the pics, but has the rest of it in the other one ;)
Love those wheels, really nice:approve: but i'm not normally a fan of the blue mk1's
99.9% of them are silver, as fubs said only 8 blue, there were about 13 or so mars red ones too. Theres a red one on ebay at the min.
I personally prefer the silver.
Patrick, did you make the dude an offer ? Or tell him you'd think about it.
the cambelt will be around £250.00 to do (maybe even more these days) The kit from renault is £80.00 or so alone though, always get the kit as it's not worth doing half a job.
If it pulls to the left, then get the tracking sorted on it as it could just be that. As for the windows, then it'll prob need a new motor on one side & a switch on the other, no biggie.
With regard to the oil filler cap 'mayo' did you take the car out for a blast ?? If so was the mayo still...
