Yeah the fluid is hard to tell where it's at and also the tube of the cap displaces fluid as it's inserted, so it doesn't need as much as you think sometimes.
The sensor is just a float pretty much yeah.
You can do the cables on stands easy enough, the higher the better though so it's comfortable.
I'm imagining some sort of T piece that you can have coming off the line into the fuel rail.
Maybe with a quick release dry break connector or an AN fitting.
Would it not be better to have something you can tap into rather than keep removing the connector on the fuel rail.
Over time it might weaken and lose it's grip on the rail, potentially popping off and causing a fire.
Not really designed to be taken on and off a lot.
Could be a dodgy contact on the handbrake sensor or brake fluid as you've mentioned.
Not heard of it coming on for abs related issues.
Handbrake adjustment is underneath the heat shield yeah.
