The finished article avec new lid / casing.
To summarise:
So gearbox has had:
Full strip down and inspection.
Mainshaft pinion bearing replaced.
All seals replaced.
Synchros for 3rd, 4th and 5th gear replaced.
New end cover for 5th gear.
New nut for differential as original worn/grooved...
An exciting day for me. Doner box has now been externally and internally refreshed (it was in great condition to start with internally), as well as having the diff fitted. Done by Magic Mike @NorthloopCup

There's a lot of dribblers in motorfactors that I defo wouldn't want making brake lines for me. Personally.
There's plenty of braking firms that can make up lines/pipes.
Some great news.
The doner box I sourced from a member on here has been opened up and inspected by another member on here ( incestuous ) and is in great low mileage condition. I’m refreshing some bits just because it makes sense, but it’s great to know I didn’t buy a lemon.

Thankfully I know plenty of engine builders. May be easier to just throw it at ED.
I am capable of building a motor. But certain elements I would have to outsource anyway and I just don't have the time.
