Down in the modern world (;))the ferry from Dover is about £40 - 50 return. If you are just going for a weekend then the Tunnel s better value at £44 return.

Sadly wrong, the MK3 has service notification lights! There is one service light that comes on a month before the service is due, then another comes on when it is actually due. You can turn them off yourself though.

Yep i was quoted between £200 and £240 round here. Ended up paying £180 through a friend discount

Good work Chris. 9th (I think) trip of the year, and as cracking as all the rest! Buying almost 20 beers at a time in the CC was interesting, but it was a brilliant evening. Plenty of time for a couple more trips before the end of the year - though hopefully in a car with a longer 5th gear! :D

My Mk3 1.2 needs its first service (on time, not mileage) as its 12 months old and done 7k. So far i've been quoted £220 twice and £190 to essentially change the oil and turn off Blackpool illuminations on my dash. What a rip off. Tried Ren-tech, and whilst they are cheaper 170 odd, its £40...

Did this at the weekend. Out at the Ring Monday, will try and get better shots.
