I accidently did that yesterday.....i didn't tighten the filter up enough and it came off while driving and i didnt notice much of a change at all.....sounded as you said....rather beasty.....ill try do a lil video of the sound in a min when i head off to work...

i got a 1.4 rt.....ive got 8.4 seconds to 60 out of it(as standard) i used to have a 1.4 mk 1 106 and that was quicker to 60 than the clio(cause i raced my mates 1.4 rt with it....but soon as i got to 60 the clio went faster......the 106 struggled after 70 mph and the clio carrys on going up to...

i could be having a blonde moment here but im not sure....ive just fitted a K & N induction kit to my 1.4 clio....and as i've never had one on a car before im not sure how they sound except i knwo they give a bit of roar from the engine....this on mine is quite loud in comparison to the engine...

any idea how much this one is lowered by or can hazzard a guess??

i bought mine for £1100 with 54,000 on the clock was perfect condition apart from lil dent in bonet.... and its the exact same model....(this was b4 the new clio came out thou) and i got it july last year....but then i dont know if there price has dropped since the new clio came out.

well that deppends who u goto.....the higher the price the better the result....i got my car off a vallet so he gave the car a freebe before he sold it to me. as for prices....im not entierly sure but at a guess....£30-100(i never used one before so i couldnt tell u) i do know that being a car...

easyest thing to do if you cant be bothered or dont have the time, is to take it to a vallet n get the engine cleaned up by them....it costs a lil but its well worth it.....

speaking of clean engine bays....i had mine cleaned the other day n took a pic.....what do u think:o

i love it....i agree with other ppl thou.....exhaust needs hortening or replacnig with one that doesn't stick out as much. also colour coding would be a good idea(i know how easy it is to put that sorta job off) but does make all the differance.(althou i have to say i love red and black together.
