I'm heading to the ring this weekend, been chatting to a few chaps who I know who live out at the ring and they've all been saying it's been piss poor lately for brits shunting, funnily enough they've all said it's usually Meganes as well !
Seems they've got a real issue with fluids getting...
I get it mate, I used to instruct there years ago and my old man still does. Always found it a bit of a boring track myself but that's what makes the world go round aye!
I know absolutely naff all about these cars but I know that some bikes are 'limited' aka don't make full power in the first few gears mainly because you simply cannot use it and probably because 90% of riders would be wheelieing their way in to the nearest accident and emergency lol.. could be a...
Will a fiesta actually do 150, I'm not being a t**t I'm just genuinely asking as I know a guy with a mountune one which he reckons is on the limiter at 140 on the clock which his road angel said was more 134. But he reckons he was out of revs?
Yep, but they're not likely to do big miles on the motor are they they're mainly interested in performance. If it was something you're planning on rebuilding again for the foreseeable then I'd not be thrashing the tits off of it straight away myself...
/\ what he said.
But don't labour the engine, use the gears/engine braking, don't sit at constant revs, don't be afraid to use some of the rev range but make sure the oil is up before doing so.
I'll be wobbling about at no speed probably. The ring is a dangerous place for bikes and I don't know the place all that well and have never ridden it before.
Just going for the experience
Snotter!
I'm off to the ring in September on my Ducati.
Guy I know has just got back and did around an 8 minute on his third ever lap, either very talented or very close to having a monumental shunt..
