Hi Dan, Welcome to CS mate! Always make sure the belts are changed within the correct time. There's plenty of guides on here for what to look for that could save you from anything going wrong!

Enjoy the car for what it is mate. You'll have to declare every modification you do to your insurance and as you pointed out you're of a young age then you'll more than likely get bent over for putting a 'powered by fairydust' sticker on, let alone wheels, lows and anything else. It's looking...

60mm is quite a large drop. My 197 is currently on 30mm and 40mm and it sits perfectly. Become a member mate, read through all of the guides.

With all due respect, I wouldn't compare the 5GT against the 197 let alone the Megane. As @Daniel pointed out, you're better off getting him one of the 'smaller' hatches such as the 172 or the 182. The 197 & 200 are a lot more 'grown up'/boring and haven't got the same smile from ear to ear go...

I don't think there are any within 20 miles to be fair to you mate. Fred from BTM would probably have been the closest but he's shut down now and he was Birmingham IIRC. I've used @MicKPM a fair few times, couldn't help you more if he tried but he's located near Nottingham.

Yep, it could get a lot worse quite quickly. Clutch cable could snap and you wouldn't be moving. I don't think it's a too expensive job to be honest.

I'd say clutch, yep. @fairm010 recently had the same issue mate and a new clutch sorted him out.
