Mine used to get plenty of stick and hardly used a drop. Used a little on run in, but other than that.

What everyone else has said. Get a decent used engine in their. The 182/172 engines are basically the same, either will fit. The chances of finding a lower mileage 182 motor is more likely though because of the age.

Probably easier to replace the engine, but if you fancy a little project, rebuilding her might be an option, and you can sling some Gucci bits at it too.

I have to say, i have done the ring a few times, my dad is over there a fair amount as he does a lot of manufacture development work. I wouldn't be put off of going there, however I would be hesitant of doing it on my bike tbh.

They come up on here now and then, if that helps... Have you looked through the parts for sale section? Sometimes you get the odd cup being broken as well which would work for you.
