Selfishly, because I have a sim race at the end of the month and the McLaren is my car for the season and I need the practice, I’ve chosen the McLaren 650 GT3 at Imola
Thought I’d put up my lap from last week.
What’s the best way to save your replays to upload to YouTube?.. I ended up just videoing my TV
Anyone sneak in a faster time at the end?
Hi mate, sorry didn’t see your other message
I ended up not using the new bolt for the caliper top plate as the std ones locate on the shank which is a special Renault bolt
Front wishbone ball joint I fitted new ball joints and the bolts come with the kit so didn’t look for a Cromwell code...
Cheers!..
I don’t know who decided to put the “loose” setups as a default.. I’ve been doing the career mode and fighting all the cars, and doing custom setups, not realising there was even other base setups available like “stable”

Finally got chance to have a blast this evening, stuck the stable setup on.. loose was an absolute handful!.. couple of hours later and I managed a 1:22.949
Probably could of found a couple more tenths in the last couple of corners but It was exhausting getting that time so called it a night...
I fitted a heated screen myself to my clio 182. Worked great at a very rainy Blyton park.
I re used the rear heated screen wiring when I modified the loom. Simply connected the live and earth wires from the UCH to the heated screen. The UCH already has a relay built in and goes through the...
@imprezaworks
Haha, I wish I had that sort of setup!, maybe I’ll make my own for my next project [emoji6] ..
I’ve got a playseat (the project cars fold in half one, keeps it out of sight and the missus happy) Also bought the Thrustmaster TX leather wheel and T3PA pedals with the rubber brake...
Hi Neil..
I've condensed the info I have on the suspension bolts.
The caliper backing / top plate I ended up reusing the original bolts as the top plates use the shank of the bolt to locate and is a special size bolt.
I also spec'd these bolts to get the required shank length, they will need...
Going to get PC2 next week I think.. played PC1 all the time. I’ve got a Thrustmaster TX leather wheel and T3PA pedals with the rubber brake mod, and a playseat.
Played the demo the other day, seems like a lot of issues have gone and a lot better than PC1, especially the wet weather updates...
Hi Stu,
I can certainly look at doing something for you, It wouldn't be cheap though if it was a one off. send me a PM and I can discuss it with you though.
Yeah finally!... thanks for your pearls of wisdom along the way with a few things, appreciate it.
Definitely going to pop down to some races next year so see you there.
Hi Josh, I think the plan for next year is to just do a lot of testing. @Jenbo and I want to make sure that the car is ready and that we're both confident in driving it on the limit. Get our baseline setups sorted, and hit the track on the right foot. So i think we'll be aiming for the 2019...
Yeah your right, it's the UCH.. I ran out of time before the track day to make a proper bracket for it to secure it to the bulkhead, so I cable tied it loosely to the extinguisher for the day [emoji1360]
I know in the TDC you have to have an onboard camera positioned to capture all the controls including the bias valve, if fitted, so they can review footage if the organisers suspect there is any foul play (people changing engine maps, bias positions mid race etc)
Yeah I know haha, I'm working on a livery design too, so hope to get that on over winter!.. can't wait to see it in full race car spec [emoji1377]
Sill stand tubes being fitted are on:

still need to fabricate the stands actually
Thanks for reading through it all @numbers_ @MrCube182 the thread has gotten quite long now!
Thanks! yeah same, i'm sure i'll see a lot more people next year, feel free to pop over and look around the car. We plan on doing about 7 trackdays throughout next year so i'll throw the venues / dates...
Cheers!.. really love the position too, feel very comfortable in the car, definitely worth the effort
yeah engine and box internals are standard.. all I've done is fit a new dephaser (and re time cams), belts, plugs, filter and fluids etc
Then the cold air feed to the inlet
Awesome pedalling as usual Tony!..
Read your post of FB.. since when do they apply a 10second grid penalty on the start for a qualifying infringement??!.. don't they just normally remove the laptime you did when the 'offence' occurred.. seems very stupid to me
Least you had some fun working...
Onboard video up.
Chasing another Clio down on the first lap [emoji594][emoji594]
Never really got a clean lap when the camera was recording, best of the bunch on the video.. (didn't help that we kept forgetting to turn it on)
Ignore the passenger intercom cable swinging around too haha
