I've sent my onkyo back and ordered a 1713

Got an onkyo 414. FFS it won't connect to the onkyo app. Updated firmware (I think) .. Why won't it connect?!?

Or a denon 1713

Is it really worth a 7.1 receiver? Looking at the onkyo 515 .. It has 4K up scaling etc .. However when am I going to see 4K on my TV? Probably not in a few years .. Probably also won't be seeing 7.1 surround. Is the 414 a much inferior unit? It's only 5.1 and no 4K

Lol .. Erm no. There are a million free apps that do the same thing. This is a very comprehensive home cinema AV type app. It is all about home automation. I.e I press watch tivo and it does a string of commands 1) turn on TV 2) change TV to HDMI 3 3 turn in TiVo 4) set tivo onto live TV...

Anybody use the roomie app? Amazing!

Tempted to swap my kit out for a 515 and a matching denon blu ray player .. Can't afford speakers yet though so would have to have Audio through TVs HDMI .. Spose u have to start somewhere and build it up gradually!

I need Ml it's not optional .. I have an iPhoto library created on a newer ML machine which I can't access until I upgrade this one to ML so iPhoto can upgrade to 9.4.2 I have pictures of my daughter in that library I really need back. I think Lion may be possible .. But if not its ML

Yes it runs lion. But only once RAM is upgraded. ML can then be hacked to work. It runs iTunes 11.0.2 just fine and plex and xbmc. So far so good no issues .. Just needs a newer os!

Yeah turned on in hers and mine .. It's only shared Photostreams .. Trying to share our wedding photos .. Apple TV can pick them up then too ..
