im okay enough with electronics, got a city and guilds lv2 qualification in electronics so im confident enogh tp take the task on. what ypu mean by two ecu's ??
my dad will be retire'n from work in two years and we both said we want a project to do and as i want to keep the clio, we've both decided to mess around with a engine conversion.
i dnt perticually want to fit an rs lump as i like deisels alot more than a petrol.
tbh anything thats hard for...
ah i see, im looking to do this in 2years time maybe so hopefully i can get a writen off meggy 1.9 dci and retro fit it into my clio shell. if all else fails, i shall look into rs lumps from either are mk2 or mk3.
well i stand corrected if thiers only yours with a 1*2 conversion :S. as for my idea with the meggy derv conversion, i will be doing some research into the size, parts and what not thats needed.
quick question why is the 1*2 conversion cheaper than a meggy derv setup? insurance wise or the...
sunroof or windscreen? kind of confused as to which you are on about? if its the windscreen, i would'nt even drive until someone checks it. if its the sunroof then sounds like your seals have gone.
i think they are around 64hp gave or take the mileage of the engine. if its been serviced decently over the years, then it should still be a healthy figure :)
tbh i know they are a good company but id rather trust my engine in the hands of a remaped ecu than a chip tunning box which increase fuel pressure so im told
depends on what i can fit in the already crammed engine bay, from memory the 1.9 dci engine is something from a 100hp to something high. i knw the meggy sport model with a dci engine was producing high 100's from factory
sheep following others with the 2L petrol conversion. my plan is when my insurance drops allot lower than it is now in a year or two, im going to drop a meggy 1.9 dci engine in my clio, should be a fun project........
sounds about right. i knw this is a stupid question but being as the dci engine is direct injection, is thier anyway of uprating the fuel delivery components to increase hp-torque?
dan my best advice would be get the dci 80 intercooler and have it remaped, they do pritty well. altho mine is the dci 80 im still gettin a remap, deisel tunning boxes can ruin the engine!!

small update, bought a new rs grill as i managed to break the other one, super quick delivery time, special thanks to tom @ west renualt!! :approve:
and now i have aquired a decent set of TD 1.2's, to be painted in tvr purple with a pearl clear coat maybe.
40 mins away for me , hopefully the dci will be looking top notch by then as im off to cyprus for 3 weeks before fCS 2012.
cotball, fancy a convoy?? :D
edge component speakers from halfrauds are decent enough. mate has a set in his 206. think they are arround £45 for a set which contains two speakers 5/6" cnt remember actaull size, and two tweeters.

okay destroy the one of the rear crumple zones :S
would of been easier to get a ktec 182 look alike exhaust. bin the eye brows, slam it, rs grill and some decent 15" or 16" wheels
exactly, its your own choice as to what you intend to buy and why, cost doesn't really matter, its all down to personal preference.
i can see some peoples argument on waxes that cost more than the car is worth or looks, but at the end of the day, you cant say you pay for what you get because...
