There was a thread on pistonheads about it, people getting 1/2 way around the Nordschleife and they would go into limp mode.

You'll find that all tyres look like that after a session on track. They'll clear up with some normal use.

That's terrible news, i'd just get a bog standard engine put in so you can actually use it this summer.

My gearbox is perfect, 33mpg average and much better performance than my 172 cup!
