Well the cost totals up to about 280 when you add the price of the hillpower bend and the cold air feed pipe. It doesnt run lean, at least no problems were picked up on the rollers on Saturday. Ive not been advised it will anyway.

TBH if youe getting the Hillpower pipe its OK because it allows you to cut it - which gives you more room to play with. Id invest in a better cold air feed pipe as the standard one supplied with the kit is crap. Now ive had experience fitting it, I can revert back to standard for service...

OK, i have my cold air feed pipe slotted over the top of the standard cold air feed, so i guess its still using this valve. Its just going to struggle to find warm air on startup, though this shouldnt be a problem over summer.

Id get the diesel. Ive owned both a 1.4 16v and a 65 Dci and the diesel was a great car.
