Lol, I thought the same.
Never driven or been in either, but on looks alone would plump for the 182, as I prefer the look of them for the back, due to the twin exhausts.
Saying that though, if I already owned a 172, would probablt take alot for me to make the swap, as from looking at figures...
I don't know what state the car is in, but would you not rather spend the money getting the valver back to minty mintness? Or would that cost an arm and a leg.
No the H7 is the dipped beam mate. Think the H4 is for the both of them, but somebody said earlier in the thread that they are the bulbs that could cause the light sctatter in reflector headlights?
Not well up on the H4 bulbs sorry pal.
Thanks guys, was just checking really.
For the sake of a couple of thousand miles I was just wondering if it was worth declaring or whether it would void my policy if they could prove I'd gone over.
What are the implications of going over this?
At my current situation, over the next year I will probably only be doing around 100 miles a week, maybe less.
But should my circumstances change and me go over that, say to around 8/9000, what would be the implications of this if I ever came to...
You'll need a H7 kit.
6K is probably the best balance between colour and actual light brightness.
4.3k is the brightest but gives a white light.
6k gives a little more blue light
8k is not as bright but gives a deep blue xenon look.
Mate has an 8k on his golf and it looks the dogs...
Been thinking about this myself.
Was looking at a kit that supplied 'H7R' bulbs, which are basically HID bulbs that can be used in reflector headlights.
£107 was a bit steep for me though.
Red is a colour that fades very easily if not proctected, higlighted by all the pink corsa's etc you see flying about. Really like it when it's all waxed up though.
Not really my thing, and for what you've spent on it you could have probably had yourself a different car, much more upmarket than a campus.
Just don't understand people's reasoning sometimes.
