indeed, its 23 days old. yes i know the mileage;)
booked the car in when it was something like 3 days old.
2 bits or trim damaged
1 very crooked steering wheel
1 very loud rattle
2 minor rattles that i think theyll ignore.
Ive just done 2600 miles in two weeks in my Cup and its lovely and comfy thanks.... i have c/c, and cd autochanger.
Also i averaged 45 mpg.
Would have no worries about long distances mate. Though i agree the seat covers in the 172 are better.
Its in at Reno with a total of 6 things to look at. If one gets sorted ill be mightly impressed!
Though in all honesty im worried my cars going to get dented, scratched, kerbed, thrashed.......
Ive reset the trip computer to see how far they take it out for at lunch:@
And my god does a 1.2...
Would move to Mobil 1 at about 10k. As for now the ELF 10w 40 Semi Synthetic stuff is fine. Would be tempted to change the oil at about 3k though as well as the filter to clear out the initial crap.
:@
The Cooper S is nice but id rather have the Cup. And whats that about reliability on the Mini ??!!
And IMHO the Clio looks much better than the BMW.
The only reason id choose a MINI is for the resale value in a few years. But then i dont buy a car thinking about what its going to be...
If you look back at issues say five or six years ago the content of the magazine has changed and it seemed to me that the target readership changed away from the mostly club motorsport audience to a more broader audience. Maybe in a bizarre way that affected sales....
I will miss it though as...
Mine done about 250 miles now. Off for a trip round France and Italy as of Sunday, so 2500 miles in two weeks looming.
Lucky Git getting your boss to sort it out. I waited 13 weeks for mine!
Taking it to the Goodwood Revival meeting tomorrow, so that should be good fun!!
Well aparently i delt with the new service manager yesterday (he now knows my name!!) He called me at work last night:
Has arranged for the car to go in and has provided me with a curtesy(sp?) car, apologizing that it wouldnt be a Cup! He has also ordered a new glovebox door and a new seat...
well been in and aparently theyve ordered all the cosmetic parts.
When it goes in theyll also do the rattle and steering wheel/alignment.
Mind the bloke that came out to the car with me thought it was a Cup112. Informed him that the stickers were on wonky.
oh dear....
Well yes its the glovebox door, so think they should replace it. As for the seat they can either take the cover off and give me a new one, or pull the loop of cotton - or whatever- back through!
Yes the steering wheel is pointing to the right. Its soo annoying!!!
As for the rattle i can make...
