I've had a look at the Combe website and am going to try to get to as many as possible. I've strarted writing down the events in a diary and it is quickly filling up!!
Thanks guys,
I see what you mean about not filling the frame with the car but the viewing wasn't very good and there were trees and branches in the foreground.
I was using AI SERVO for the focus on my Canon 400d, Is this correct?
Yeah, I read that and thought it would be easy!!! and then I saw the cars flying past. Theory is easy, but I now understand that practice is practice and UKASKEW has got alot of skill. :)
Your some sort of muppet!!! ' We all loose control at some point' pr!ck........ we don't all waste a few hundred quids worth of tyres impressing 16 year olds drink lambrini!!! if you want to lose control fall off the dance floor in a night club not enhancing your small d!ck in a car park
Went to Brean Rally Stages today and tried the DSLR out for the first time. Any tips for improvement or advice would help as I didn't really know what I was doing.
But here is my fave 3:
1.
2.
3.
All of these are straight out of the camera no PP as I haven't really got a clue how to do...
Do you mean the warm Heineken?
If so the radiator gets the tray warm when the car gets hot. I use it to keep my towel warm when I take the car to football in the winter.
Room is ok for an overnight bag but a few things to remember:
1) its not watertight.
2) It gets rather warm
3) There is a 20Kg weight limit I think (someone else will probably correct me)
4) I've had my football kit in there for over a week and the car doesn't smell inside!!:)
Thanks for the advice. I'm a complete newbie to photography having never owned even a point and shoot before I bought the DSLR but am really looking forward to getting out and shooting some motorsport and general Automotive photos.
I've just purchased...
Excellent Post. Can't wait to get out and try some of the techniques you've listed.
Quick Q: Do you let the auto focus pick the point of focus automatically or do you choose the focus point i.e centre focus? If that makes any sense.
RWD is far more challenging. You can't go stamping on the brake or accelerator mid corner if you've got it a little wrong. Takes far more thought and smooth driving.
Oh I forgot to add. I had to waste an M3 to figure this out.
You probably already have if you are going into colours but make sure you tell them about everything that was an optional extra. You'll be amazed at some of the stuff that is an option. Include it even if it was free!
I'm pretty sure the the dealer will have it and if they've got nothing to hide and are a decent enough place, I'm sure they'll let you have it.
Just say your looking into the history of the car or something.
You sure will:) and the tax disk was like that when I bought it, I've got one of those fancy alloy ones now but I've stuck it to far down this time and can't get the alan key in there:(.
Carry the speed through bend and then you can overtake down the straight. I wish they'd cut the trees back as you come to the end of the hatched lines as you'd be able to see if anything was coming all the way down that straight and up the hill. :D The whole run is total of 6.2 miles in all.
Coming up the hill past ashton court is bumpy and can catch you out so easily, then you've got the mad straight bit and then I love the final tighter corners before you get to the T-junction in Tickenham, I think the Vee needs to come out once more this winter. Bring on the weekend, I'm all...
